TECH TIP:  Zero Noise Classroom Meter
Zero Noise Classroom is a Chrome Extension that allows you to set a countdown timer and a noise meter all  in one.  You set the time you want and the noise level you expect.  The noise shows up as the gray bars, with no noise, the background is all white.  This could be very helpful if you want 5 minutes of quiet reading, 10 minutes of quiet work on a math problem before sharing with a group, etc.

TECH TIP:  JustBeamIt
If you ever have students who need to share large files with you, especially ones that are too big to email, you could use JustBeamIt.  With JustBeamIt, you drag the files you want to share - and you can drag in multiple files - onto the BeamIt page, and then once they have uploaded, you get a URL link that they can share with you to gain access to the files.
Thanks to FreeTech4Teachers for this tip.
BOOK TIP:  Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty
I've long been a fan of Liane Moriarty, who writes realistic novels that deal with emotional traumas.  From page one, I'm drawn right in.  One of her novels, "Big Little Lies", is now an HBO show starring Nicole Kidman.  In her latest novel, Truly Madly Guilty, three couples get together for a Sunday afternoon barbeque, but what happens at the dinner, changes the lives of all forever.  But you're left wondering what happened throughout much of the novel, keeps you turning the pages!
