TECH TIP:  Adding Audio to Google Slides

A new update to Google Slides is that you can now insert Audio files.  This allows you to add in music or narration to play with your slide deck.  You can't record directly in Google Slides, so to add in narration, you will need to use a different voice recorder.  I used https://online-voice-recorder.com/ to make my narration for these slides.  

This is my 3rd Quarter Report for the library using Google Slides and narration.  Click on the image below to view it.  This could be a great tool for students to highlight their learning.  

BOOK TIP:  The Last Romantic by Tara Conklin

  I read a few books over vacation and this was by my favorite - and it is written by an MMRHS alum!  This is Tara Conklin's second novel, and it focuses on the Skinner family, with a focus on Fiona, the youngest, who is a poet.  The siblings are incredibly close, brought together at a young age by what they call the Pause, but as they age, another family crisis will test their connections.  A great read.
